Modular Expansion
A single EcoComfort™ subsystem can be configured with one heat-pump unit and expanded to a maximum of 64 units, subject to project design and control requirements.
Communication and Control
Unit 1 operates as the master controller. It is connected in series to Units 2–64 through a 2-core, 0.75 mm² shielded communication cable and controls the start and stop operation of the expansion units.

Each heat-pump unit independently connects to one corresponding heat exchanger located inside the storage water tank.
Distributed Building Layout
Large buildings can be divided into independent air-conditioning zones. Each zone can be configured as an EcoComfort™ subsystem with between one and 64 heat-pump units, its own storage tank, heat exchangers and indoor terminals. Each subsystem retains separate comfort-energy and domestic-hot-water tanks; the two tanks are not directly connected.

Note: 1–64 unit configuration is a system expansion capability. Actual configuration depends on project load, diversity/simultaneous-use factor, storage tank capacity and control strategy.
